Why Thailand a popular travel destination?

Thailand, or the "Land of Smiles", as it is also called, is one of the most popular tourist destinations. When you ask someone what are its tourist destinations, Thailand is often the answer. What makes Thailand such a popular tourist destination? We will see that there are many contributing factors that make some of Thailand as a country popular.

Firstly, Thailand is not called the "Land of Smiles" for nothing, there is a good reason why he has that name. Thailand has a reputation for being a country that is very welcoming to tourists. Thais are friendly people, always smiling and trying to help when they can. They are really interested and have at heart that Thailand everyone who visits enjoys their stay. Even though this is a very good reason to visit Thailand, there is a little more than how is a must for all tourists.

Another reason would be the rich culture and history. When you visit Thailand, you will be amazed at the number of large temples that you can find everywhere. While in Bangkok, everyone must go through the Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After that, if you go north towards Chiang Mai or south to Phuket, you will find many temples and a rich culture that is truly unique. Ayutthaya is a great spectacle for the eyes and is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. But there is not only beautiful temples and ruins to visit in Thailand, the country's natural beauty is one of its greatest assets.

The beaches in the south, the mountains and the rainforest north, there really is something for everyone in Thailand. Phuket is one of the best destinations in South East Asia and for good reason. The beaches were beautiful, the weather is great, what can you ask for? In Thailand, there are beaches more beautiful than you can possibly hope to visit during your trip, you must choose carefully. Koh Phi Phi is one of the most popular and became famous after the movie The Beach. There are hundreds of tourists visiting Koh Phi Phi daily. But the North also has its charm, even if another type of charm. If you want to do a little jungle trek, you will be delighted by the turn of Chiang Mai. It is a very rewarding experience to do a jungle trek in the mountains around Chiang Mai and visit small villages.

Shopping is another reason why so many people go to Thailand. Bangkok is becoming a shopper's paradise. There are huge shopping centers being built around the town and the prices are very good. You can find many good deals if you look around and can also find the best brands in major malls such as Siam Paragon and Central World. If you pass through Bangkok, you must go to Chatuchak Market weekend, the largest open market in the world. There are more than 15,000 booths and every day hundreds of thousands of people go to the market.

Thai food is another reason why people want to go to Thailand. Everyone knows Thai food, it is very popular and is gaining popularity in Europe and North America. In Thailand, Thai food is much better than what you'll find nowhere else, and there are restaurants everywhere. There are so many choices of food arriving in Thailand, you will not eat. Thai cuisine is very diverse, as there are specialties form the north of Thailand and also form the South. You should really try Pad Thai when you arrive in Thailand, you will fall in love with this meal.

Finally, the last reason is the price. Aside from airfare, living in Thailand is really cheap. You can find nice hotels for about U.S. $ 30 and if you eat in small restaurants, it will cost you about $ 2. Activities are also very cheap, as is the journey. Stay in Thailand will not cost you as much as the ticket if you want to stay on a budget. You could easily spend a lot of money if you stay in hotels because there are prizes for everyone, but you can easily spend very little each day.

There are many exotic destinations in Asia, where you have a sense of history, and you want to see an overview of the glorious times and the mystique of the past, nothing can be more exciting and informative than the ruins of a kingdom Ayutthaya Thailand.

Thailand, the vast land of smiles has more than good food and the sun, and perhaps this is the destination Ayutthaya called the best kept secret in Thailand.

We are not talking about the beautiful beaches that normally describe Thailand or nightclubs entertaintment debauchery that pigs of the beach scene, not even the exotic meals you can eat various insects and insects, including crickets, worms and cockroaches!

We are talking about remarkable ruins of the Ayutthaya kingdom in Thailand.

When I heard about the kingdom of Ayutthaya, this question just hit me: "Are not these almost similar to Angkor Wat in Cambodia?"

Be prepared to be surprised!

After visiting the famous Angkor Wat, the Kingdom of Ayutthaya greatly surprised with the difference.

Attached to the conjunction of Lopburi, Pasak and Chao Phraya river, the beautiful historic city of Ayutthaya was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and was the capital of Thailand for 417 years, what was then known known as Siam.

Over the next 417 years it was ruled by 33 kings of different dynasties and repelled 23 Burmese invasions, before the Burmese finally managed to shave the ground.

The most important place to visit is the head of Buddha at Wat Mahatat.

Just in case you do not know, in a context of temples that stood the test of time and the ravages of the weather, the Head of Buddha or Wat temple is the most interesting facet of nature intervowing statue with partial the Awakened One - The Buddha.

Why this place is a must to visit?

Here you can see many headless Buddha statutes and a sanctuary where a particular tree Boddhis famous, with roots that seek to spread on a slate wall, especially exposed yet firmly rooted, as if to tell us a history of peace and stability in a world of uncertainty, interwoving its roots to cover statutue the revered Buddha, seeking to leave open the face of the Enlightened One.

What a spectacular sight!

Open face of the Great Buddha radiates a sense of peace and considerable heat, tranquility and end.

There is a sense of inner calm that unifies the problems in the inner chambers of the heart, so that irregardless of your religion, you instantly recognize the sanctity of this moment, the veneration of the Buddha ... and you leave the place with the same sense of wonder and awe that will stay with you forever.

Now, as it is the best kept secret to visit Thailand, how do I squeeze the most out of a tight budget in terms of time and money to see the Kingdom of Ayutthaya?

First, plan your visit. Get a map of Ayutthaya and write your destinations that you want to visit.

On the other hand, the first priority is to visit Wat Mahatat - Head of Buddha. This will allow you more time to enjoy the sights and scenes of this great kingdom as you bask in the glorious ruins.

Third, to use the services of your local taxi driver. You can get a very decent that you personally designed. Give him your destination, and it will set you with the all-round.

And as a bonus, my local taxi driver spoke only a little English. So he took along his college-going daughter to provide interpretation and acted as a guide fee. Be prepared to pay the entrance fee if you get a guide, but most sites do not need an interpreter to be with you.

Now, if you ever thought of visiting Thailand, remember that apart from the beaches, night live, the scence entertaintment, good food and shopping at the mall Paragon, there is a best kept secret, and This is the remarkable ruins of the Ayutthaya kingdom. You should not miss this when you travel to Thailand.

Thailand Travel Tips - What to Take

Thailand Travel Tips - What to Take

Whether you are in Thailand for a long holiday or a short break there are several things that could be useful to ... and many things which are not. A lot of them are boring things you already know, such as insect repellent and block the sun, but there are some things that you would do that you probably do not have the habit of thinking.

Start with what not to take, first of all clothing. Thailand is warm all year round and if you venture into the mountains in the north, you really will not need "a jacket for the evening." They also dry very quickly and are easy to wash and wear the same day. If you really want to splurge, there are many places throughout Thailand who wash clothes and return all nice and fresh the next day, at a rate between 30 and 50 baht per kilo. So do not wear loads of clothes you do not wear half.

Another thing that you would rethink chocolate. Thailand is, as I said hot and not really designed for chocolate. The type of chocolate that people tend to bring with them to America, the United Kingdom and Europe tends to melt very easily. Unless you eat quickly or are able to store in a refrigerator, you will end up with quite a mess. Chocolate is available here by the bucket load in supermarkets and convenience stores, but tends to be imported from Australia which has a higher melting temperature and is not as enjoyable. Sorry Australia.

Now, to make things that you might not have thought ...

Thailand is an amazing country, and when you are traveling, whether in the north of Chiang Mai, a tropical island or even in the heart of Bangkok, you will be surrounded by wildlife and beautiful scenery. Keeping this in mind, it is logical that the thing to do that often people would have liked (but did not) are twins. Not huge ones like army, but just a little dinky pair modern travel. Armed with this neat holiday accessory you can clearly see that the dolphins off the coast of Hua Hin, giant lizards regulating water swim to the Chao Phraya River through the heart of Bangkok or Crested Eagles that sail over the mountains of Chiang Mai. If you are quick, you can also visit the wonderful array of butterflies glide quietly around the treetops across the kingdom.

The other thing that is an "element must provide" not expensive plastic Flip flops (thongs if you are traveling from Australia). Everyone here wears them because they are the most comfortable shoes and practices that you can own. They are cool in hot weather, will not be damaged on the beach or a pool, but best of all, as it is customary to remove your shoes when you enter a room it will save you endless cycle to untie, unstrapping or detachment.

Finally, if you bring a book to make sure that Thailand is a pocket guide for orchids. Thailand must be the capital of orchids in the world ... they are everywhere, from the arrival hall of the airport to your hotel and back. This country is a wall orchid heaven. Make the most of it by understanding that you look and impress your friends and fellow holiday emphasizing the difference between the rare bee orchid and Slipper Orchids popular.

Phuket in Thailand
Phuket is nestled in the fresh waters of the Andaman Sea coast of Thailand in the Indian Ocean 862 km south of Bangkok. Phuket formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber, and enjoyed a rich and colorful history. The island was one of the main trade routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in the diaries of foreign trader.

Lately, however, the source was high Phuket tourism, which has transformed the island into the richest province of Thailand. Wait until the prices are a bit higher than on the mainland. The west coast of Phuket was badly hit by the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004, but almost no evidence of the damage now remains. Phuket enjoys great popularity as a travel destination. Most beaches are on the west coast, with Phuket Town to the south and to the airport in the north.
